Ingredients
  

Pie Ingredients
  • 1 piece pie crust store-bought or homemade
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 large eggs preferably at room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped can substitute walnuts if desired

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish and pre-bake it for 10 minutes.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together corn syrup, brown sugar, granulated sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Stir in the chocolate chips and chopped pecans.
  5. Pour the filling into the pre-baked crust.
Baking
  1. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until the filling is set and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  2. Allow to cool before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or drizzle with chocolate sauce for a delicious twist. Store leftovers in the fridge for 3-4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
