  • 1 lb ground beef sausage Can substitute with turkey or chicken sausage
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the sausage over medium heat until fully cooked, then drain excess fat.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. In a greased baking dish, layer half of the tater tots, then add the cooked sausage, followed by the egg mixture.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining tater tots on top, and then add the cheddar cheese.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the top is golden brown.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

To serve, cut generous squares and serve warm. Adding fresh herbs can elevate presentation. Keep an eye on the cheese to ensure it doesn't burn. For storage, leftovers can be kept in the fridge for 3-4 days.
