Ingredients
  

Spice Mix
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon pepper
Main
  • 1.5 pounds raw peeled shrimp
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
Garnish
  • to taste fresh cilantro, chopped
  • as needed wedges of lime

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Combine all the spices in a bowl and toss them with the shrimp until fully covered. Let this sit for 30 minutes to soak up those flavors.
  2. Warm the olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
Cooking
  1. Toss in the seasoned shrimp and cook for about 2 minutes on each side until they’re beautifully pink.
  2. Add the finely chopped garlic to the pan and stir for 30 seconds.
  3. Top it off with fresh cilantro and serve with lime wedges.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze them. Reheat gently to avoid rubbery shrimp. You can swap shrimp for chicken, fish, or even tofu!
