Ingredients
  

For the Cauliflower
  • 1 head cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds
For the Sauce
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey Can substitute with maple syrup for a vegan option.
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha Optional for added heat!
For Garnish
  • 2 pieces green onions, sliced For garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix the cornstarch, flour, salt, and pepper. Gradually add water and stir until smooth.
  2. Dip cauliflower florets into the batter, then coat them in sesame seeds.
Cooking
  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and fry the florets until they’re golden and crispy.
  2. In a separate saucepan, combine soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and sriracha; bring this mixture to a boil.
  3. Add cooked cauliflower to the sauce and stir to coat it in the sticky goodness.
Serving
  1. Serve hot, garnished with sliced green onions.

Notes

Store leftovers in the fridge for up to three days. Reheat in a hot pan to restore crispiness.
