Ingredients
  

For the filling
  • 6 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled Cook until crispy
  • 1 cup broccoli florets, chopped Use fresh for best texture
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream Use full-fat for creaminess
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
For the crust
  • 1 pie crust store-bought or homemade Pre-bake as instructed

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place the pie crust in a pie dish and pre-bake for about 10 minutes.
  3. In a skillet, cook the bacon until crispy, then set aside and crumble.
  4. In the same skillet, add broccoli and sauté for a few minutes until tender.
  5. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  6. Spread the crumbled bacon, sautéed broccoli, and shredded cheese evenly in the pre-baked pie crust.
  7. Pour the egg mixture over the filling.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes or until the quiche is set and golden.
  2. Let it cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

Serve warm, garnished with fresh herbs. Pairs well with a green salad or sliced tomatoes in olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
