Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk Recommended at room temperature
  • 3 large eggs Recommended at room temperature
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine the milk and eggs, then whisk into the flour mixture until smooth.
  4. Stir in the melted butter.
  5. Grease a popover pan or muffin tin, and fill each cup about halfway with the batter.
Baking
  1. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and puffed.
  2. Serve warm.

Notes

Store leftover popovers in an airtight container for up to two days in the fridge or freeze for up to a month. Reheat in the oven for a few minutes to regain crunch.
