Preparation
- Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- On the unbuttered side of one slice, spread a layer of pesto.
- Add cheese on top of the pesto.
- Place the other slice of bread on top, buttered side facing outward.
Cooking
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and place the sandwich in the skillet.
- Cook until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 2-4 minutes per side.
- Remove from heat, slice, and enjoy!
Notes
Serve with a simple side salad or crispy potato chips. To store leftovers, place in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat in a skillet or microwave when ready to eat. For added flavor, consider adding sliced tomatoes or garlic powder.
