Ingredients
  

For the Cream Cheese Filling
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Make sure the cream cheese is at room temperature.
  • 3 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
For the Cookie Dough
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 1 1/2 cups Oreo pieces (approximately 12 Oreos)
  • 1/2 cup Oreo crumbs (approximately 5 Oreos)

Preparation
  1. In a medium bowl, mix the cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla until smooth and creamy.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Combine the melted butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and vanilla; add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
  4. Gradually fold in the dry ingredients until a soft dough forms. Add in the Oreo pieces and crumbs.
  5. Flatten a spoonful of dough, place cheesecake filling in the center, fold over, and roll into a ball.
  6. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Arrange dough balls on a lined baking sheet, and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden.
  7. Cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Serve warm with a glass of milk or vanilla ice cream. Store in an airtight container for 5-7 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
