Ingredients

Pasta Ingredients
  • 8 oz pasta (spaghetti or fettuccine)
Shrimp Ingredients
  • 1 lb shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil For sautéing
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup heavy cream Can substitute with half-and-half or dairy-free alternative
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs (parsley or basil) for garnish

Method

Cooking the Pasta
  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Cooking the Shrimp
  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  2. Add shrimp to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook until pink and cooked through, about 2-3 minutes per side.
Making the Sauce
  1. Reduce heat and stir in the heavy cream, allowing it to simmer for a few minutes.
  2. Add grated Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and combined.
Combining Ingredients
  1. Toss the cooked pasta into the creamy shrimp sauce, making sure to coat the pasta well.
  2. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh herbs.

Notes

For extra flavor, toast the garlic carefully to avoid burning. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days in the fridge. Reheat on the stovetop or in the microwave.
