  • 1 batch Pizza Dough Feel free to use store-bought for convenience.
  • 8 oz Fresh Mozzarella Opt for low moisture for best melting results.
  • 1 cup Tomato Sauce Choose a quality sauce for optimal flavor.
  • 1 bunch Fresh Basil If unavailable, dried basil can be substituted in the sauce.
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil Avocado oil is a good alternative.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface until it’s about 12 inches in diameter.
  3. Transfer the rolled dough to a pizza stone or baking sheet.
  4. Spread the tomato sauce evenly across the dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
  5. Tear the fresh mozzarella into chunks and distribute them over the sauce.
  6. Drizzle a little olive oil on top for added flavor.
Cooking
  1. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and the crust is golden.
  2. Remove from the oven and top with fresh basil leaves.
  3. Slice and serve hot, preferably with more olive oil for drizzling.

Notes

Got leftovers? Store slices in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) until heated through.
