Main Ingredients
  • 2 lbs ground beef (80/20 fat ratio preferred) Can substitute with ground turkey or meat substitute.
  • 1 large onion (diced)
  • 2 large bell peppers (diced)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened to room temperature)
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil For cooking.
  • 8 oz provolone cheese (sliced)
  • 1.5 cups mozzarella cheese (shredded)
Seasoning
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and spray a 9×13 baking dish with non-stick spray.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add diced onions and bell peppers to the hot oil, cooking for 5-6 minutes until they start to soften.
  4. Add minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds.
  5. Add ground beef, breaking it up as it cooks; season with salt and pepper, cooking until browned.
  6. Stir in Worcestershire sauce and mix well.
  7. Reduce heat to low, add cream cheese, stirring until melted.
  8. Transfer mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  9. Layer provolone cheese on top, followed by shredded mozzarella.
Baking
  1. Bake for 22-25 minutes until cheese is melted and golden.
  2. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve garnished with fresh herbs and pair with a crisp green salad or zesty pickles for extra crunch. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for 3-4 days or frozen for up to 2 months. Reheat in the oven or microwave.
