Ingredients

For the fish
  • 4 pieces fish fillets (such as cod or tilapia)
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 piece lemon (juiced)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Method

Cooking the fish
  1. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Season the fish fillets with salt and pepper, then place them in the skillet.
  4. Cook the fish for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Drizzle lemon juice over the fish during the last minute of cooking.
  6. Serve the fish fillets with the buttery sauce spooned over the top, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

Add capers for extra flavor. Use fresh garlic instead of powdered for best results. Pre-seasoning the fish can save time.
