Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 1 lb Ground pork You can also use ground chicken or turkey.
  • 1 cup Chopped green onions Use for flavor and garnish.
  • 3 tbsp Soy sauce Additional soy sauce can be drizzled before serving.
  • 1 tbsp Sesame oil Adds a rich, nutty flavor.
  • 1 tbsp Grated ginger For a refreshing kick.
  • 2 cloves Minced garlic Toast for enhanced flavor.
  • 1 tsp Salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1 tsp Pepper Adjust to taste.
Wrapper and Broth
  • 1 package Wonton wrappers Used for wrapping the filling.
  • 4 cups Chicken broth For steaming the dumplings.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix ground pork, chopped green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. Take a wonton wrapper and place a small spoonful of the pork mixture in the center.
  3. Carefully seal the wonton wrapper, creating a pleat or fold if desired.
Cooking
  1. In a saucepan, bring chicken broth to a simmer.
  2. Place the dumplings in a steamer basket set over the broth and cover.
  3. Steam for 8-10 minutes until cooked through.
Serving
  1. Serve hot, drizzled with more soy sauce if desired, and garnish with chopped green onions.

Notes

Store in the fridge for up to 2-3 days or freeze in an airtight container for about 3 months. Steam from frozen without thawing. Consider variations like tofu and veggies for a vegan option or different broths for unique flavors.
