Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 pieces pork chops, bone-in or boneless, about 1-inch thick
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dried thyme or rosemary
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp chili flakes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Rub each pork chop with olive oil, then coat with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, thyme, black pepper, and salt.
  3. In an oven-safe skillet, melt the butter over medium heat and add the minced garlic.
Cooking
  1. Sear the pork chops in the skillet for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  2. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 10-15 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 145°F.
  3. Let the pork chops rest for 5 minutes.
  4. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

Resting the chops before serving locks in moisture and flavor. Store leftovers in the fridge for 3-4 days or freeze for up to 3 months. To reheat, warm in the oven at a low temperature.
