  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C) and grease your cookie sheets or line them with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat together the unsalted butter, cream cheese, and powdered sugar until light and fluffy (about 3-4 minutes).
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  5. Roll tablespoonfuls of dough into balls and slightly flatten them on the prepared cookie sheets.
  6. Bake for approximately 15 minutes or until golden at the edges. Let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For an extra soft texture, consider chilling your dough for 30 minutes before baking. You can also mix in chocolate chips or nuts for a fun twist.
