Ingredients
  

Shrimp and Coating
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined Fresh or thawed shrimp work well.
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika Adds color and flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • Vegetable oil for frying Use enough to fully submerge the shrimp.
Hot Honey Mixture
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1-2 tablespoons hot sauce Adjust to taste.
  • Optional extra hot honey For serving.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix together flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large skillet to 350°F (175°C).
  3. Dredge the shrimp in the flour mixture until well coated.
Frying
  1. Fry the shrimp in batches for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  2. Remove the shrimp and drain on paper towels.
Combining
  1. In a separate bowl, mix honey with hot sauce.
  2. Toss the fried shrimp in the hot honey mixture until evenly coated.
Serving
  1. Serve as an appetizer with additional hot honey for dipping, or enjoy as a main course with side dishes.

Notes

Fry shrimp in batches to ensure they cook evenly and stay crispy. Consider using panko breadcrumbs for extra crunch.
