Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup walnuts
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Cooking oil for frying
  • 2 cups cooked rice for serving

Method

Preparation
  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add walnuts and fry until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  3. In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, honey, lemon juice, condensed milk, and salt to create the sauce.
Cooking
  1. In the same pan, add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink and opaque.
  2. Toss the cooked shrimp in the sauce and add the candied walnuts.
  3. Serve the Honey Walnut Shrimp over cooked rice.

Notes

For the best texture, avoid freezing the shrimp. Serve with extra sauce drizzled on top. Can swap shrimp for chicken or add veggies for diversity.
