Ingredients

Dough Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour For a crispier crust, consider using high-protein bread flour.
  • 1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons) Make sure to activate it in warm water.
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar Helps to activate the yeast.
  • 3/4 cup warm water Ensure it's warm, not hot, for best results.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Can be substituted with avocado oil for a vegan option.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a small bowl, mix warm water with sugar and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it gets all frothy.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and olive oil.
  3. Stir until a dough forms, then knead on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it up, and let it rise until doubled, about 1 hour. Alternatively, refrigerate overnight for a slower rise.
  5. Punch down the dough and roll it out to fit your pizza pan.
Baking
  1. Top with your favorite ingredients and bake at 475°F (245°C) for 12-15 minutes until golden.

Notes

Store the dough in the fridge for about 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months. If freezing, thaw overnight in the fridge before use. Measure ingredients precisely and consider adding garlic powder or herbs for extra flavor.
