  • 4 pieces Heirloom tomatoes Choose vibrant, ripe heirlooms for the best flavor.
  • 1 cup Fresh basil Finely chopped.
  • 1 cup Fresh parsley Finely chopped.
  • 3 tablespoons Olive oil Extra virgin for better flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons Balsamic vinegar Adjust based on taste preference.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Add gradually to taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper Freshly ground.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Chop the heirloom tomatoes into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large bowl.
  2. Finely chop the fresh herbs and add them to the bowl with the tomatoes.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper to make the dressing.
  4. Drizzle the dressing over the salad and gently toss to combine.
  5. Serve immediately or chill in the refrigerator for a short time before serving.

Notes

Keep leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 1–2 days. Prep ingredients separately and mix just before serving for maximum freshness. Consider adding cheese like mozzarella or feta for creaminess, or squeeze in some lemon juice for a kick!
