Ingredients
  

Pasta and Shrimp
  • 8 oz pasta Any pasta of your choice
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined Fresh or frozen shrimp works
Sauce Ingredients
  • 4 tbsp butter Unsalted butter preferred
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Adjust garlic quantity to taste
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream For a richer sauce, use half-and-half
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese Freshly grated for best flavor
  • Salt and pepper to taste For seasoning
  • Parsley for garnish Fresh parsley, chopped

Method
 

Cooking the Pasta
  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions; reserve some pasta water and then drain.
Preparing the Sauce
  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  3. Toss in the shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes on each side.
  4. Stir in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
  5. Add the Parmesan cheese and mix until combined, adding reserved pasta water if needed for consistency.
Finishing the Dish
  1. Toss in the cooked pasta, season with salt and pepper, and mix well.
  2. Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

Got leftovers? Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. For reheating, use the microwave or a pan on low heat, adding a splash of cream or pasta water to revive the sauce. You can also experiment with adding sun-dried tomatoes or spinach for variations.
