Ingredients

For the garlic butter
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened Use unsalted butter for better control over the saltiness.
  • 1/2 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
For the sandwiches
  • 4 slices of bread Any type of bread works, such as sourdough or whole wheat.
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese blend Feel free to experiment with different cheese varieties.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, garlic powder, and dried parsley until well combined.
  2. Spread the garlic butter mixture on one side of each slice of bread, covering all the way to the edges.
  3. Place two slices butter-side down in a skillet and add half the cheese on each. Top with the other bread slices, butter-side up.
Cooking
  1. Heat a skillet over low heat.
  2. Cook the sandwiches for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown and cheese is melted.
  3. Remove from the pan, slice, and serve immediately.

Notes

For variations, consider using plant-based butter and vegan cheese or adding elements like sautéed mushrooms or spinach. Store leftover sandwiches in the fridge for up to 3 days or in the freezer for a month.
