  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour Can be substituted with gluten-free flour.
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder Substitute with carob powder for a twist.
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas. Then, add sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla; mix well.
  3. Slowly stir in flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt until just combined.
  4. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean or fudgy.
  6. Allow to cool, cut into squares, and enjoy!

Notes

For extra indulgence, serve with vanilla ice cream, a drizzle of caramel or chocolate sauce, or a sprinkle of nuts. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or refrigerate for up to a week. You may freeze them for up to three months.
