  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk Warmed to dissolve yeast
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Filling Ingredients
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, warm the milk and dissolve the yeast.
  3. Combine the wet and dry ingredients, add the melted butter, and mix well.
  4. Knead until smooth, then let rise for about an hour.
Baking
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Roll out the dough on a floured surface, then spread the cream cheese mixture and place sliced strawberries on top.
  3. Roll tightly and slice into rolls.
  4. Place on a greased baking sheet. Let rise again for 30 minutes.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
Serving
  1. These rolls are best served warm and fresh from the oven.
  2. Drizzle a bit of icing on top for an extra touch of sweetness.
