  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni Cook according to package instructions.
  • 4 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese For a rich flavor.

Creamy Base
  • 4 cups milk Whole milk is preferred.

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

Preparation
  1. Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a slow cooker, combine the cooked macaroni, all the cheeses, milk, butter, and cream cheese.
  3. Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine.
Cooking
  1. Cook on low for 2-3 hours, stirring occasionally, until the cheese is melted and the mixture is creamy.
Serving
  1. Serve warm as a side dish.

Notes

For a twist, experiment with different cheeses like gouda or pepper jack. You can also add crispy bacon or sautéed vegetables for extra flavor.
