Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven and prepare your cupcake batter according to your chosen recipe.
  2. Bake cupcakes as directed and let them cool completely.
Buttercream Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy.
  2. Gradually add powdered sugar, alternating with heavy cream and vanilla extract, mixing until combined and fluffy.
  3. Divide the buttercream into separate bowls and add food coloring to each, mixing to achieve desired colors.
Decorating
  1. Once the cupcakes are cooled, use a piping bag fitted with a flower piping tip to pipe decorative buttercream flowers on top of each cupcake.
