  • 3 pieces ripe bananas (mashed) Make sure they are super ripe for best flavor.
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg (beaten) Use room temperature for better blending.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour Can substitute with whole wheat flour for a healthier version.

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 4x8 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  3. Stir in the melted butter until well combined.
  4. Mix in the baking soda and salt.
  5. Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract, then mix well.
  6. Stir in the flour until just combined.
  7. Pour the batter into the loaf pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for about 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Let it cool for a few minutes in the pan before transferring it to a wire rack.

Notes

Serve warm with butter or honey; store at room temperature for 3-4 days or in the fridge for up to a week. Can freeze for up to three months.
