Ingredients
  

Filling Ingredients
  • 1 large can (29oz) sliced peaches, syrup reserved
  • 3 tablespoons reserved peach syrup Drizzle on top before baking.
Cobbler Batter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted Must be melted but not boiling.
  • 3/4 cup milk (room temperature or warm)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Open the can of peaches and pour the drained fruit into the dish; reserve 3 tablespoons of the syrup.
Mixing Ingredients
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  2. Mix in the melted butter, then stir in the 3/4 cup milk and vanilla extract.
Baking
  1. Pour the batter over the peaches and drizzle the 3 tablespoons of reserved syrup on top.
  2. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
  3. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or drizzle with caramel sauce. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 4 days or frozen for 3 months.
