Pasta and Main Ingredients
  • 8 oz bow tie noodles Can substitute with spaghetti or any other pasta.
  • 1 lb crawfish tails, peeled Frozen crawfish can be used, thawed beforehand.
  • 1 cup heavy cream For a richer sauce, increase to 1 1/2 cups.
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Toasting the garlic enhances flavor.
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated Divided into two portions for topping.
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning Adjust according to spice preference.
  • 2 tbsp olive oil For sautéing the onion and garlic.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the bow tie noodles according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic; sauté until onions are translucent.
Cooking
  1. Stir in crawfish tails and Cajun seasoning; cook for 3-4 minutes.
  2. Add the heavy cream and chicken broth; stir well and bring to a simmer.
  3. Mix in the cooked bow tie noodles and half of the Parmesan cheese; stir until combined.
Baking
  1. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish; top with the remaining Parmesan cheese.
  2. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
  3. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for about 3-4 days, or freeze for up to a month. Reheat gently, adding a splash of cream if necessary.
