Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Fit the pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish, pressing it gently. Trim any excess crust and pre-bake if necessary.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil or butter over medium heat and sauté the vegetables until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk or cream, salt, pepper, and dried herbs.
- Spread the cooked vegetables and/or meat over the pie crust. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top and pour the egg mixture over everything.
- Bake for 35-45 minutes until set in the center and lightly golden. A knife inserted should come out clean.
- Let the quiche cool for 10 minutes before slicing.
Notes
Serve warm with fresh fruit or a drizzle of hot sauce for added flavor. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 4 days or frozen for up to 3 months. Reheat slices in the oven or microwave.
