Ingredients

  • 4 lbs Pork shoulder Well-marbled for best flavor
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce Your favorite variety
  • 1 medium Onion, diced
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Salt Adjust to taste
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper Adjust to taste
  • 1/4 cup Apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup Brown sugar Adjust for sweetness

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Place the pork shoulder in the crock pot.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the BBQ sauce, diced onion, minced garlic, salt, pepper, apple cider vinegar, and brown sugar.
  3. Pour the sauce over the pork.
Cooking
  1. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the pork is tender and easy to shred.
Serving
  1. Shred the pork using two forks and mix it with the sauce.
  2. Serve on buns or with sides of your choice.
