  • 8 oz orzo pasta
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  2. Add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink, then remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pot, add chicken broth and bring to a boil. Stir in the orzo and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes.
  4. Reduce heat and stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese.
  5. Add the cooked shrimp back to the pot, mix well, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

Pro Tip: Don't skip toasting the garlic — it makes all the difference! Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for about 3 days in an airtight container. Reheat in the microwave with a splash of cream or broth to keep it creamy. Can freeze for up to a month.
