Ingredients
  

Pasta and Protein
  • 8 ounces pasta
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 pound sausage, sliced
Sauce and Vegetables
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 medium bell pepper, diced
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • for garnish Fresh parsley

Method
 

Cooking the Pasta
  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Cooking the Sausage and Vegetables
  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sausage and cook until browned.
  2. Add the bell pepper, onion, and garlic to the skillet and sauté until softened.
Adding Shrimp and Sauce
  1. Stir in the shrimp and cook until pink and opaque.
  2. Add the Cajun seasoning and heavy cream to the skillet, and stir to combine.
Combining Pasta
  1. Combine the cooked pasta with the sauce and mix well.
  2. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days. Reheat in the microwave or on the stovetop, adding a splash of cream if desired.
