  • 8 ounces pasta Any pasta shape works, but fettuccine is preferred.
  • 4 slices bacon, chopped Cook over medium heat for optimal crispiness.
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced Feel free to use different types of mushrooms for varied flavor.
  • 1 cup heavy cream For a lighter version, substitute with coconut cream.
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese Alternatively, try mozzarella or Pecorino Romano.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Do not skip toasting for enhanced flavor.
  • to taste unknown Salt and pepper Adjust according to preference.
  • to garnish unknown Fresh parsley Adds color and aroma to the dish.

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy.
  3. Remove the bacon and set aside, leaving the drippings in the skillet.
  4. Add the sliced mushrooms and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until the mushrooms are golden.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a simmer.
  6. Stir in the Parmesan cheese, cooked bacon, and season with salt and pepper.
  7. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave or stovetop with a splash of milk or cream.
