  • 1 lb ground beef Beef should be browned before adding to the crock pot.

  • 15 oz can tomato sauce Base for the goulash sauce.
  • 10.5 oz can tomato soup Adds creaminess.
  • 14.5 oz can diced tomatoes Adds texture and flavor.
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni Pasta of choice.
  • 2 cups beef broth Liquid for cooking.
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning Herb blend for flavor.
  • to taste Salt and pepper For seasoning.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked; drain excess fat.
  2. Add onions and garlic to the skillet, sauté until soft (about 3 minutes).
  3. Transfer the beef mixture to the crock pot.
Cooking
  1. Stir in the tomato sauce, tomato soup, diced tomatoes, elbow macaroni, beef broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  2. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours, or high for 2-3 hours, until the pasta is tender.
Serving
  1. Serve hot, garnished with your favorite cheese, if desired.

Notes

This dish keeps well in the fridge for about 3-4 days. For longer storage, freeze in airtight containers for up to 3 months. Reheat in the microwave or stovetop.
