Sauce and Flavorings
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce Can substitute with tamari for a gluten-free option.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Preparation
  1. Cook the chow mein noodles according to package instructions, then set them aside.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add mixed vegetables and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until just tender.
  4. Stir in the minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for an additional minute.
  5. Combine the cooked noodles and soy sauce in the pan, tossing everything together well.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then serve hot and enjoy your homemade chow mein!

Notes

Serve in deep bowls for a cozy vibe, and sprinkle some sesame seeds or fresh scallions for added flavor and crunch. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze in portions for up to a month. Reheat with a splash of soy sauce.
