Ingredients

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cups brown sugar
Wet Ingredients
  • 0.5 cups unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a bundt pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, followed by the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk, starting and ending with the flour mixture.
Swirl and Bake
  1. In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon for the swirl.
  2. Pour half of the cake batter into the prepared bundt pan, then sprinkle with half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  3. Add the remaining batter on top, and finish with the rest of the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  4. Gently swirl with a knife to create a marble effect.
  5. Bake for about 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Store the cake tightly wrapped in plastic wrap for about 3-5 days in the fridge. It can also be frozen for up to 3 months.
