Ingredients
  

For the banana bread
  • 4 medium ripe bananas Choose very ripe bananas for the best sweetness.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup butter (melted)
For the crumb topping
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup butter (melted) For the crumb topping.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a bowl until smooth.
  3. Mix in sugar, egg, and melted butter.
  4. Add flour, baking soda, and cinnamon, combining until just mixed.
  5. Transfer the batter to the prepared loaf pan.
Crumb Topping
  1. In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and melted butter for the crumb topping.
  2. Sprinkle the crumb topping over the batter.
Baking
  1. Bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  2. Cool, slice, and enjoy!

Notes

For extra richness, serve warm with a pat of butter or drizzle with honey/maple syrup. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or in the fridge for a week.
