Cheesy Taco Sticks

Ingredients
  

For the Taco Filling
  • 1 package refrigerated crescent dough
  • 1 cup cooked ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
  • 1/2 cup salsa
Optional Toppings
  • to taste sour cream
  • to taste guacamole
  • to taste diced tomatoes
  • to taste lettuce

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven according to the crescent dough package instructions.
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef until browned, then add the taco seasoning and mix well.
  3. Roll out the crescent dough and cut it into triangles.
  4. Spoon some of the beef mixture onto the wide end of each triangle, sprinkle with cheese, and top with some salsa.
  5. Roll up each triangle from the wide end to the point.
  6. Place the rolled sticks on a baking sheet and bake according to the package instructions until golden brown.
  7. Serve warm with optional toppings.

Notes

For extra crunch, broil them for a minute after baking. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days or freeze for up to a month.
