Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef and onion over medium heat until the meat is no longer pink.
  3. Stir in the rice, beef broth, cream of mushroom soup, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
Baking
  1. Transfer the mixture to a casserole dish and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  2. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  3. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve with colorful veggies on the side like steamed broccoli or a crisp garden salad. For added flavor, drizzle hot sauce on top or add fresh herbs. Let the casserole sit for a few minutes after baking to set up nicely.
