Ingredients
  

Pasta and Shrimp
  • 8 oz bowtie pasta
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
Vegetables and Spices
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 tbsp homemade cajun spice blend
Sauce and Garnish
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Method
 

Cooking Pasta
  1. Cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Preparing the Sauce
  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced bell peppers and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add the shrimp and cajun spice blend. Cook until the shrimp are pink and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes.
  4. Reduce the heat and stir in the heavy cream. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to combine.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For added texture, consider sprinkling crunchy croutons or toasted pine nuts on top. This pasta can be refrigerated for 2-3 days or frozen for up to a month.
