  • 8 oz fettuccine or pasta of choice
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
Vegetables
  • 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
Creamy Base
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
Seasoning and Garnish
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parmesan cheese for serving (optional)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  2. Add the shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side. Season with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add the asparagus to the skillet and cook for another 3-4 minutes until tender.
  4. Reduce heat, stir in the heavy cream, and let it simmer for a few minutes.
  5. Toss the cooked pasta with the shrimp and asparagus mixture.
Serving
  1. Serve warm, topped with Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

Adjust the spice level of the Cajun seasoning to your personal taste. Freshly minced garlic enhances the dish's flavor.
