Ingredients
  

For the berry base
  • 2 cups mixed berries (such as blueberries, raspberries, strawberries) Fresh or frozen
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar For sweetening the berries
For the crumb topping
  • 1 cup rolled oats Old-fashioned oats recommended
  • 1/2 cup flour All-purpose flour or gluten-free substitute
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar Packed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted Can substitute with coconut oil for vegan version
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon For added flavor
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the mixed berries and granulated sugar, then spread them evenly in a baking dish.
  3. In another bowl, combine the rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, melted butter, cinnamon, and salt until crumbly.
  4. Sprinkle the oat mixture over the berries.
Baking
  1. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the berries are bubbly.
  2. Serve warm, preferably with a scoop of ice cream.

Notes

Serve with ice cream, whipped cream, or honey for extra indulgence. Store leftovers covered in the fridge for up to 3-4 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
