  • 500 g minced beef
  • 1 piece onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 piece egg
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • Oil for frying

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine minced beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, parsley, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  2. Mix together until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into patties.
Cooking
  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add the patties to the pan and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
Serving
  1. Serve with creamy mashed potatoes or a fresh salad.

Notes

Use day-old bread for breadcrumbs for better texture. You can also mix in cheese for a cheesy twist or add mustard/hot sauce for some heat. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
