Ingredients
  

Wet Ingredients
  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed Use overripe bananas for more sweetness.
  • 1/2 cup milk Can substitute with almond or soy milk for a vegan version.
  • 1/4 cup melted butter Use plant-based butter for a vegan version.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup sugar Granulated sugar.
Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar Can substitute with white sugar mixed with molasses.
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts Optional.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the mashed bananas, milk, sugar, melted butter, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and baking powder. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until a dough forms.
Rolling
  1. Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle.
  2. Spread the brown sugar and cinnamon evenly over the surface, and sprinkle with nuts if desired.
  3. Roll the dough tightly from one end to the other.
  4. Cut the roll into slices and place them in a greased baking dish.
Baking
  1. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  2. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For a fancier presentation, drizzle with melted chocolate or vanilla icing. These rolls can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days or frozen for a month. Reheat to enjoy.
