Ingredients
  

Wet Ingredients
  • 3 pieces ripe bananas, mashed The riper, the better!
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg, beaten Can be substituted with flaxseed meal for a vegan option.
Dry Ingredients
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour Can be substituted for gluten-free flour.
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped You can swap with pecans or chocolate chips.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, mix the melted butter with the mashed bananas.
  3. Stir in the baking soda and salt.
  4. Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract, and mix well.
  5. Finally, mix in the flour and walnuts.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
Baking
  1. Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  2. Let cool before slicing and serving.

Notes

Serve warm with butter or toast for extra crunch. Store wrapped at room temperature for 3-4 days or freeze individual slices.
