Ingredients
  

For the Quiche
  • 1 pie crust 1 pie crust Store-bought or homemade
  • 6 slices 6 slices of bacon Cooked until crispy
  • 1 cup 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese For best flavor, use sharp cheddar
  • 4 large 4 large eggs Fresh eggs recommended
  • 1 cup 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 cup 1/4 cup chopped green onions Optional for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove from the skillet, crumble, and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, drain excess fat, leaving about 1 tablespoon behind.
  4. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  5. Scatter the crumbled bacon and shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the pie crust.
  6. Pour the egg mixture over the bacon and cheese. If using, sprinkle with green onions.
Baking
  1. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the quiche is set and slightly golden on top.
  2. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Let it rest after baking to help firm up for easier slicing. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3-4 days or frozen for up to 2 months.
