  • 1 cup brown sugar Can substitute with granulated sugar if needed.
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, cream together the softened butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in the maple syrup.
  4. Gradually add the flour and baking soda, stirring until well combined.
  5. Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden.
  7. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for about a week, or refrigerate for up to two weeks. Freeze for up to three months; reheat in the microwave.
